Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BarVerse™, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Cookies & Tracking

BarVerse uses cookies and similar technologies as described in our Privacy Policy. Essential cookies are required for authentication, security, audio playback, subscription checks, and other core features. These essential cookies are always active.

Non-essential cookies, including analytics and marketing cookies, are only placed or read after you provide explicit consent through the cookie banner. You can accept all, reject non-essential, or manage categories at any time using the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer.

3. Description of Service

BarVerse provides educational audio content, study tools, and related features designed to support legal learning, including bar exam preparation.

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

  • Plans. Premium is a recurring subscription, billed monthly, quarterly or annually. The price, the billing period and any free trial are shown before you buy.
  • Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, and you are charged your plan's current price for the next period, until you cancel.
  • Free trials. A free trial becomes a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel before then. The trial's length and the price after it are shown before you subscribe. For subscriptions bought through Apple, Apple may charge you up to 24 hours before the trial ends, so cancel at least 24 hours before it ends to avoid being charged. In the iOS app you can choose to get a reminder before your trial ends.
  • Price changes. If we change the price of your plan, we will tell you before the new price applies, and you can cancel before it does. Where the law or Apple requires your agreement to a higher price, we or Apple will ask for it.
  • Cancelling. You can cancel at any time.
    • Bought on our website: select Cancel subscription or Manage Subscription on your Profile page and confirm on the billing page that opens, or email support@barverse.app.
    • Bought in the iOS app: on your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period to avoid the next charge.

    Cancelling stops the next renewal; Premium stays until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting your BarVerse account cancels a subscription bought on our website, but it does not cancel one bought through Apple — cancel that with Apple.

  • Refunds. Cancelling does not give a refund or credit for the rest of the current billing period, except where the law requires it or we charged you in error. Refunds for purchases made through Apple are handled by Apple under its policies.
  • Payment. Website payments are processed by our payment processor, as described in our Privacy Policy. Purchases in the iOS app are made through, and billed by, Apple under Apple's terms. If a payment fails, Premium may be paused until it succeeds. Any applicable taxes are shown before you pay.

6. Apps from the Apple App Store

If you downloaded BarVerse from Apple's App Store, these terms also apply. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to the app as well.

  • These Terms are between you and VersEDLabs LLC only, not Apple. VersEDLabs LLC, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content.
  • Your license to use the app is limited to Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as the App Store's Usage Rules permit, except that other accounts linked to yours through Family Sharing or volume purchasing may also use it.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
  • If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the app's purchase price, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
  • VersEDLabs LLC, not Apple, is responsible for any claims relating to the app or your use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws, and claims that the app infringes someone else's intellectual property.
  • You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • You must comply with any third-party terms that apply when you use the app, such as your mobile data provider's.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, once you accept them, Apple has the right to enforce them against you.
  • Questions, complaints or claims about the app go to the contact address in the last section.

7. License to Use the App

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use BarVerse for personal, non-commercial educational purposes.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, audio, text, graphics, and software are owned by VersEDLabs LLC or its licensors. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works without permission.

9. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer or modify the app
  • Use BarVerse for unlawful purposes
  • Interfere with app functionality or security

10. Disclaimers

BarVerse provides educational content but does not guarantee exam results. Use of the app is at your own risk.

Educational Outcomes: BarVerse does not guarantee bar exam passage, specific test scores, or any particular educational outcome. Individual results vary based on prior knowledge, study habits, and other factors. Past performance using BarVerse does not predict future results, and learning outcomes may not be repeatable or predictable across users.

Not Legal Advice: All content is for educational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. Content should not be relied upon for legal decisions or as a substitute for professional legal counsel.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VersEDLabs LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware.

All text, visuals, audio recordings, musical works, world guides, UI elements, brand assets, and learning architectures are protected under U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, modification, or derivative use of any BarVerse content is strictly prohibited.
